That's like me with tomato juice. It's something I never think of having (or even buying) here at home.
No lie, on my last flight the stewardess asked what I'd like to drink and I ordered ginger ale and thought to ask myself why I always do that on a plane and never on earth. Is this as weird as your sister finding another 47 obsessive?
Brave souls all. I just get water on the plane. In case I spill it on myself, or somethin'.
'Course Ginger Ale doesn't stain that much. But water doesn't stain at all.

I can relate to this. I do the same thing. I think it's supposed to settle the stomach. Mom (TLP) always had me drink ginger ale when I was sick.
I do the same thing, I always get Cranberry juice and I almost never drink it on earth.
Considering that a plane bounces around so much, I would get something with a little less color..
My tummy doesn't much care for flying, so I always get either Ginger Ale or Coke - both for the reasons AP3 said.

Tonic water or cranberry juice for me! I just love it up there!
