Happy 11/11 - Make a Wish!

Okay, you all know what a freak I am about 47, right? Well for those of you who don't already know, I'm just as crazy about 11-11. See, it's the only time of day (or date) when all 4 digits are the same. That's why whenever it's 11:11 (am/pm), I always say "it's eleven-eleven, make a wish!".

Now being that today is 11/11, the one day a year when all 4 digits are the same, you should not only make a wish, but recognize something special will happen to you today. Call me crazy, but it's true, and when you recognize it you'll realize that's because today's eleven-eleven!

And for those of you whose wish is to beat some sense into the likes of Bush and Rummy, I encourage you to scroll on down to Strider's post below and make your wish come true now!

Oh, damn. I wasn't supposed to tell anyone? Does that mean it won't happen now?

Very nice and very funny, Doug.

Anyone else care to share their wish? Tell me, tell me, tell me!

So, I'm guessin' that you'll go crazy on 11/11/11. That's only six years from now. You might oughta make your reservations now for the party at Times Square.

What to wish for? MMmmmmm...I wish I could win tomorrow night's Scrabble Game with Acton Bell and her husband. Oh! Dang! I told. So they will beat me as usual. Shucks. I'm sure I would have won otherwise.

TLP - The problem is not that you wished it aloud, it's that you're not playing today because then you'd be win!

TLM - And miss all the fun here?

I wish for...something naughty. You could always send another jpeg, Sar...

47 is interesting, though. It was the year of Roswell, the year Crowley died, and the year that Jack Parsons did the Babylon Working in the desert with L.Ron Hubbard. (Google it).

11 seem to imply two singles bound together (one and one, but not adding to two). I'll have to use that at the bar...maybe I'll get my wish. ;)

Dang, I'm a day late! Cool concept, though. I'll try to remember that tonight at 11:11.

Gabriel - Send you another jpeg?! My fine furry friend, I don't recall sending any previously, so you might want to rethink your wish there. In any case, thanks for sharing the additional 47 tidbits and that great line about 11. You should go ahead and use it in a 11:11. Oh, and I'd have been by earlier to check out your waaaaay overdue post, but I was keeping my company entertained.

Mike - Hope you're feeling better!

Aral - It's a numerical Rabbit Rabbit!

You are aware that 11/11 is really 4+7/4+7, right? You're such a 47 freak...

Sorry, Sar. It's not the only time of day with all 4 digits the same. If you use military time it can be 22:22.
