Keith Richards, mate.. :)

I'm not much into Halloween, so I'm not one to advise on costumes.

whenever I'm invited to a Halloween party where you have to wear a costume, I always find a way to opt out.

You'd think I'd say Batman, but most costumes for him don't really do the character justice. This leaves the wearer lookin more goofy, than imposing. A pirate is pretty easy, so I'd stick with that. Or Swiper from Dora the Explorer.

Strider - the only way I can associate you & Pirates of the Carribean is when you had passes for the screening in NYC and after fighting traffic getting into the tunnel and running how many blocks once we got in and parked, we wound up getting there just barely too late and they wouldn't let us in. That seriously sucked. So don't wear that costume.

My standard halloween costume is this:

Burned Black Slacks
Burned White Shirt
Nerd Glasses
If I am in the mood a little Knox Gelatin dripped down the face to get it that melting look.

Who am I?

Buddy Holly of Course.

any other suggestions?

one last little piece of info...I work with children so I can't be anything too imposing.

when I am outside of work I am usually something more original or sick...like last year I was mr blond from reservoir dogs (ear in hand and all) for one party and dr ben dover proctologist (bloody hands and all) for the other party.

I don't think the kids would 'get' those costumes.

maybe swiper would be good? (not)

araider, if you like the McDonaldland characters you should check out this post.

Strider, If you work with kids you should NOT go as Johnny Depp's Willie Wonka. I'd call Child Protective Services right now.

Hey TLM, so you immediately follow my comment and insist Strider be exactly what I discouraged; hmm, are you trying to be a nudge? (and btw, Nip/Tuck was exceptionally freaky this week! And the best line from Boston Legal? Denny Crane: I'm trying to enjoy nature here so don't bug me with any talk about the environment. hee hee!)

Hey Sreekesh! As obsessed as I am with my birthday (*eh hem* obligatory 47 mention), I'm especially thrilled you'd take a few seconds out of yours to stop by. Don't be a stranger now. :)

And you too, Crackpot Press (well, minus the birthday bit). Almost didn't recognize you outside the relm of Moxie land!

Hey Doug - as soon as I saw Araider's comment, I thought of Aral's post too. :)

I know I'm probably too late on this to get a response, but... how about Sar and Strider swap clothes and go as each other?

Shea - now that would be interesting! I think I could pull off the chick wearing men's checkered vans look, but I wonder about Strider in stilettos. Oh this could be good!
