Sound Destruction

Saturday, October 15, 2005

The United States Postal Service has created a stamp with a picture of President George W. Bush to honor his first term achievements. Unfortunately, the stamp has not been sticking to the envelopes. This has enraged the President, who has demanded a full investigation into the matter.

After a month of testing, a special Presidential Commission has made the following findings:

1. The stamp is in perfect order.
2. There is nothing wrong with the applied adhesive.
3. People are spitting on the wrong side.

(Thanks to our wonderful Aunt in OR for the inspiration!)

Too funny, sar! I can almost hear Chuck Schumer whining about the Commission withholding documents related to the investigation.

And Ted Kennedy is outraged because his morning Bloody Mary is low on ice.

If they ever really did a Dubya stamp, they better hope that colons are mailable...because everyone of those stamps is gonna get shoved up someone's ass.

Call it the "Dead Letter Orifice."

CW - Me likey too.

Poobah - Wow, I'll try to be funny more often (note to self, encourage our Aunt to send more inspiration).

Mike - I take it you approve.

Dddragon - I don't know, but I suspect a couple of bloggers could really capitalize on this.

Araider - Strider as Bush? Remember, Strider works with small kids. Have a heart.

TLM - Aren't you just the comedian today. ;)

Monica's Dress - Check with TLM, he might be looking for an opening act. I'd suggest a wardrobe change first.

Gabriel - I thought Bush was already a pain in the ass.

Mike - I can relate. I just finished up my outdoor fall decorating.

Laura - I had the same reaction when I first read it. Great minds think alike. :)

TS - Glad to return the favor.

Doug - Thanks and do be sure to tip your hostess on the way out.

Um, er, I'm late and haven't been doing my commenting like I am s'posed to.

I'm bad. I'm slow. But, post funny.

By the way, instead of selling them in a book of stamps, would it be more appropriate to sell them on a roll, like tiolet paper? I think so...
