SHINING

update:

I just realized the link was wrong. I see why 'maine' was confused.

watch HERE.

now you can understand what I meant by 'shining'.

sorry for the confusion.

a little editing and a change of music and you have a cameron crowe movie.

see what I am talking about here.

also see how some movie should have ended here.

I like the 'seven' one.

Cameron Crowe has made some sucky movies, but he's also made two classics:

Fast Times At Ridgemont High, silly high school movie that captures the experiance in the 80's very well.

Almost Famous, which is his swan song.
Brilliant movie, great acting.
Then again, I find it hard NOT liking a movie when it has Phillip Seymour Hoffman in it.
The kid was good, even Goldie Hawn's daughter was good, and Franis McDormond was great as always.
It's in my top 20 list of my favorite movies.
The Big Lebowski is number one, of course, or at least in the top 3..

I'm dazed and confused. I have been for so long.

Cameron Crowe. Is he the one that married Nancy Wilson from Heart? Think he tried out his "you complete me" line on her first?

No, Almost Famous was good because it had great acting, characters and a story that was really good.
And, yes, Kate Hudson was hot.

Yeah, Mike. Ann is the sister of substantial girth. And speaking of Ann, can you imagine if she and Mike Reno sang their '80s duet, "Almost Paradise" together now? Yikes!

Dddragon - Strider does find the coolest links.

Sar, it would be titled:

"Almost Krispy Kreme" :)

And I would like to go on record as wondering what in the hell makes people so enamoured over those donuts.
They're a donut. And they have a glaze.
Wow, talk about reinventing the wheel.

just so I can be clear...I am not dissing cameron...its just funny that with a little editing the shining can look like a jerry maguire or say anything love story.

ps...ask sar...I still have/wear my checkered vans. (and I didn't start wearing them recently like all the bandwagon geeks of today like avril)

I couldn't get blogger to work for anything today. I forgot anything clever I had to add. Better luck tomorrow.

All - It's true. Strider's pretty much defined by his checkered vans.

Mike - I'm definately a Dunkin Donuts kind of gal. Krispy Kreme's are too heavy for me. And dammit if they're not all over the place here, whereas the closest Dunkin Donuts is like a 1/2 hour north of here.

Gabriel - Blogger was definately a major bitch today. Better luck tomorrow for all of us.

Now that makes sense Strider! Pretty funny, and I see what you were getting at. Though Jack is still frightening, the kid is still freaky and the woman just looks like she fell down the ugly tree and hit every branch on the way down.

Mike - whatta comment.
