SCOTTY HAS BEEN BEAMED UP
fellow nerds, geeks and sci fi fans join me in remembering and giving props to james doohan otherwise known as scotty the chief engineer from star trek. he died today at age 85.
thanks for helping to make star trek one of the best shows ever on TV.
his last request was to have his remains shot into space.
now that's a true trekkie.

I'll always remember Scotty as struggling to meet Kirk's demands saying "Aye Captain'", "Laddy", and "I'm going the best I can, captain!" May he rest in peace in the final frontier.
i liked how he said dilithium crystals in his fake scottish accent.
Maybe THAT'S why the shuttle was delayed--that guy looked like he'd take a long time to burn.
I miss him, though. He hosted this UFO documentary that was truly great.

Wow, we both did a post in tribute to James Doohan! Scotty was always my favorite. I am saddened by the loss, but glad his days of suffering are over... and his great adventure has begun.
Ah, me. You just had to like him, didn't you?
