E.T. the extra-terrestrial 2
supposedly spielberg is considering a follow up to the classic. this time he wants to try the peanut butter cups.

meet the little focker
so I guess we are gonna see how many focking movies they can milk out of this. (to tell you the truth I actually like the first two)

corpse bride
now that I got my tim burton fix I am ready for more. fans of the nightmare before christmas are sure to love corpse bride coming out in september. check out the trailer here.

the exorcism of emily rose
I am just a fan of any sort of exorcism kind of stuff and this one looks really good. plus it's all true....right?

untitled teenage mutant ninja turtle movie
cgi version. make them stop. who greenlights this shit?

untitled cgi smurf movie
(see above)

transformers
TRANSFORMERS...MORE THAN MEETS THE EYE!
yes your favorite toys growing up will be made into a live action movie. now here is the weird part...the names connected to this film are stephen spielberg and michael bay. is there hope for this movie? I think so! who are your favs? autobots or decepticons?

saw II
I liked the first one...lets just see a bit more gore in this next one...what do you say? I want to SEE them actually sawing their own legs off this time! see the teaser trailer here.

aeon flux
first watch this
now 2 things...
1. lets hope it's as cool as the cartoon was (from what we get to see it looks good)
2. yes I would pay to see that.

the 40 year old virgin
I tried to look up and find out what a cincinatti bowtie was after seeing this "mature" version of the trailer and had no luck...anybody know what it is? by the way...the movie looks really good.

walk the line
the first trailer is out for walk the line staring joaquin phoenix as johnny cash. i think it looks great...what do you think?

Oh, good Lord... Someone should just put Robert De Niro out of his misery, before he makes an ass out of himself in another stupid Ben Stiller movie.

My thoughts:

No to ET2

Meet the little focker--?

Corpse bride--?

exorcism--looks cool

TMNT--i love the turtles! turtle power!

Smurgs--umm.....yeah

transformers--w00t!

40 y/o virgin--heck yeah, i love steve carrell.

Wow, i guess the stuff i wrote above prove that I can be utterly ridiculous and not intelligent at all when it comes to blogging and commenting :-D

I don't object to a Smurf movie, provided they do three things:

1. Smurfs must swear in Smurftalk (ie "Smurf you, mothersmurfer! Smurf my heaving smurf, and swallow!"

2. They all have to be fighting over Smurfette, who probably has VD.

3. Gargamel should still be the serious occultist he was in the cartoon, just to piss off the Xtians.

Oh, and don't forget Junkie Smurf, Sodom Smurf, and Vengeful Smurf!

thanks doug. ian mckellan is great also.

who would be brainy smurf?

by the way...does anyone else believe that the smurfs were trying to sell a socialist/marxist way of life?

i do.

Probably, Strider, but I'm convinced the the Jetsons came straight from the Ministry of Propaganda in the kremlin. Clearly, Tom Cruise as brainy smurf. What possible other choice?

it's pretty bad ass.

steve buscemi as gargamel would a-frickin-mazing.

The role of smurfette must be played by jessica alba or elisha cuthbert. or maybe thora birch.

If we're going to go and make the Smurfs all edgy, how about Tom Waits as Papa Smurf? David Spade or John Leguizamo as Jokey. Jenna Jameson as Smurfette.

We also need Christopher Walken and Rutger Hauer in there somewhere...not because they'd make great Smurfs, so much as you simply can't make a cool movie without at least one of them. Oh, and Gary Busey as "Damaged Smurf".

How about Lemmy of Motorhead as Gargamel?

Okay, so I finnnnnnally figured out out to get connected here in Ocean City (goodness I could do a whole post on my gripes about this trip!). I'm pretty sure I attracted several side glances when I burst out laughing at Gabe's 3 Smurf qualifiers!

As for the movies, I like the fockers series but they better have a stellar supporting cast or it will be horrible.

Blogger Chris Woods said...

Christopher Walken could do a cameo with a Smurf band that needs more cowbell!

Oooh, that reminds me, I'm excited about the 40 yr old virgin too (hmm, that sounds weird!). Anything stemming from the Daily Show is all good!

Welcome back, Sar-I'd wondered where you were...

(so much for me paying attention...)

If you're excited about a 40 yr. old virgin, that explains some of the websites that you visit...

Speaking of which, I have music up at mine right now, by unpopular non-demand.

Gabriel, I'm still laughing at Gary Busey as Damaged Smurf.

We all are, Sar, a 20-year-old would be featured in Science nowadays.

Thanks, Gabe (and you're forgiven for not paying attention!). Believe me, I'm equally missing all my blogsphere pals, as my vacation is chock full of frustrating factors. Maybe I'll post more about my gripes tomorrow when I'm back at home sweet home.

Doug - methinks you're right!

so who should be the voice of optimus prime, galatron or megatron?

oh and jetfire too.

i am a nerd.

when are they going to make a good version of he-man and the masters of the universe? anything would be better than the 87 version with dolph lundgren.

He-man was after my time. Come to think of it, so were the smurfs, although I had the game on ColecoVision. Come to think of it, so were the Narnia chronicles.

Who played Commander Sinclair on Babylon 5? 'Cause it should be that guy...

The actor's name is Michael O'Hare.

And I wish they'd bring back B5 for some more movie specials or a miniseries of some sort. None of the crappy spinoff series, but a good movie on what the galaxy looks like after all this time.

Oh, and btw, if you didn't catch it form above, I'm a big sci-fi geek. And proud of it! :-D
