I agree, Shea. While we should all enjoy the freebie vacation day, bbq's with family & friends, and the firework displays that come with this holiday, we shouldn't forget to be thankful for the history that birthed this great nation we all love. Nor should we forget those suffering because of Bush's deadly farce.

The first cartoon is inaccurate.
Most major American cities, statistically speaking, PROHIBIT firworks now.
Sad.

Gabe - I guess the number of news stories about people accidently blowing off their right hand will be greatly reduced this year.
sar- judging from the hundreds of ("illegal") bottle rockets going off in my neighborhood tonight, i'd say the emergency rooms will be plenty busy. :)
