is it just me or does this sound suspiciously like someone was pissing on the quran?

In lane one we have Mounting Evidence, in lane two is Mounting Denial. And the winner is...

Mounting Denial, buy a long-ass pinochio nose!

Our government's been pissing on the Constitution since 2001. I'm sure they splashed a little on the Koran in the process.

They still apply that old Reagan-era trickle-down theory to everything.

Oh I see, so Newsweek had to pull it's story because of pissing symantics. And didn't administration saying that the Newsweek story had damaged the image of America. There continues to be egg on the collective face in Washington, yet our country as a whole doesn't seems to care. How wrong is that?!

Do we care about the abuse of prisoners in our own prisons? No, that never makes the from page news. To me, that is a more egregious situation, the abuse of your own citizens that we should be trying to reform and guide to a better life.

Nedhead, you're right there is a case to be made for not taking care of our own (poverty, job loss, environment, etc., etc.) And I also the think outright ignorance of human rights coming at our own hands at places like G-Bay & and Abu Ghraib is deplorable and certainly does nothing to promote our presence as a nation trying to promote freedom & democracy.

But if we want to asign aggregious behavior, I think we need to look no further than the ongoing hypocracies of this administration. These military findings, which are in stark contrast to the comments made by the administration who cried foul not a week earlier, are just the latest example.

How many hypocracies does it take to make a country question the effectiveness of their rosy glasses and cry foul in return?

Jet - sad isn't? Thanks for the humerous analogy.

TH - Another example of how sloppy things have been in DC, huh.

Shea - "trickle down"...tee hee. Boys will be boys with their potty humor, I see.
