FEAR THE BAT

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

this summer I think that I was looking forward to 'Batman begins' as much as I was looking forward to star wars. (maybe more) now that star wars is done fore me I can move on and start pushing my fondness for Batman. (yes he gets the caps)

I know many of you may not care one way or the other what critics have to say but can they ALL be wrong?

plus with chris nolan (memento, insomnia, following) directing how could it be bad?

the early reviews are coming in and they are great...

"Batman begins is the 5th Batman movie, but the first one to get it right....Absolutely right. Last years Spiderman 2 got Spiderman right and this years Batman begins is the batman movie I have been waiting for and hoping for. It is one of the years best films." -- Roger Ebert, EBERT & ROEPER

"This is the best Batman movie ever by far."-- Richard Roeper, EBERT & ROEPER

"... the best studio film so far this year and candidate for The Best Comic-Book Movie Adaptation Ever."-- Andy Klein, LOS ANGELES CITYBEAT

"For Christopher Nolan to turn Batman Begins into such a smart, gritty, brooding, visceral experience is astonishing." - Kirk Honeycutt, HOLLYWOOD REPORTER

"It's all about fear and loathing, this high profile, big-budget product of a post-millennial United States--and it's about as good as it gets." - Walter Chaw, FILM FREAK CENTRAL

"the film is so brilliantly realized on virtually every level that it's hard to imagine any Bat-fan being remotely disappointed."-- Stefan Halley, HERO REALM

"Batman Begins is obsessed with fear from its opening frames, and it manages something that no other film version of Batman has so far: it's scary."-- Moriarty, AIN'T IT COOL MOVIE
REVIEWS

"Nolan...creates one of the most involving, inventive superhero movies yet." -- Rich Cline, SHADOWS ON THE WALL

"It's a new beginning for the bat... and a must-see summer movie for 2005."-- David Foucher, EDGE BOSTON

"Batman Begins is an appropriately tough movie, busy but efficient, rich and thoughtful, and ornamented with visual appeal and exciting action." -- Peter Canavese, GROUCHO REVIEWS

"In a year when the franchise watchword is 'dark', this delivers the full noir with a side order of dementia."-- Kim Newman, EMPIRE MAGAZINE [UK]

...and these are just the early reviews.

forget spiderman, x-men, blade, superman, hulk, daredevil, elektra, fantastic four, hellboy, spawn (and whatever comic book hero's I have chose to ignore)...

BATMAN RULES!

I'm with you and so glad to hear Nolan directed. The last couple of movies were as bad as the last couple Star Wars movies. Piss you off bad.

Yeah, Strider, what the hell do you know? Sorry, too fat an opportunity there. ;)

I'm just glad it's not the robotic Michael Keaton with the jerky head movements playing Batman anymore.
