TEASERS ARE BORING

...but the movie will be great.

click the new movie poster to view the LAME teaser trailer.

I have high hopes for this movie.

I think it was well cast. not my first choice for langdon but a good choice of tom hanks. two french actors to play the main french roles (audrey tautou and jean reno) and ian mckellen and alfred molina rounding out the cast. not too shabby. ron howard is directing also.

I think I will be a happy camper...as will millions of others.

especially dan brown.

Ron Howard sold out when he cast Tom Hanks. It was a a box-office-draw decision. I challenge you to (re-)read this book envisioning Tom Hanks and his yelpy voice as Langdon. Nope, can't do it. In my opinion, they should've cast Hugh Jackman. No matter, I loved the book and I'm looking forward to this flick.

Boy, that was pretty lame. I was hoping to see some scenes from the movie, but I guess they really haven't even started filming if it's not due out until May 2006. Oh well, something to look forward to...

i do agree about tom hanks and i would submit to you that jeff bridges would have been perfect for the part. if you dont know who he is go here ---> http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0000313/

any thoughts? am i wrong? he has that professor thing going on...he seems smart...and he isnt "pilsbury dough boyish" (nice one ned)

Jeff Bridges...wasn't he the weirdo in Starman? As Langdon, hmm. Scholarly and introverted, potentially. But not athletic enough in my mind.

Sweet! Now I don't have to read it. I can just sit back and watch, like like the slacker slob that I am.

langdon isnt supposed to be some sort of marathon runner or ready for the olympics is he? langdon doesnt come off as some action superstar.

as for jeff bridges...dont think starman...think arlington road, the fisher king or fearless. starman was all the way back in 1977.

how about dennis quaid? he is more athletic.

Dennis Quaid. Hmmm, maybe. Don't forget Langdon's described as looking like Harrison Ford, but he's probably too old in reality (though I think I heard he's doing yet another Raiders installment?). Plus Langdon's described as a near olympic calibar swimmer so, yes they should get someone athletic. That's why I envisioned Hugh Jackman.
