DEMENTED AND SAD, BUT TRUE

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

The cast of The Breakfast Club is going to reunite to present an award at the 2005 MTV Movie Awards, to air June 9. The whole cast has signed on so far except for Emilio Estevez, and I say he damn well better, 'cause we need our athlete! I so loved this movie, and I remember we rented this (and Top Gun) for my sweet 16 birthday party (remember when it was cool to hang around your parents' house and watch movies instead of paying zillions of dollars on wedding-esq birthday parties like you see on MTV?). I hope this doesn't turn out to be as laughable as when Diamond Dave reunited with VanHalen at a previous MTV awards show.

Dear Mr. Vernon,

We accept the fact that we had to sacrifice a whole Saturday in detention for whatever it is we did wrong, but we think you're crazy for making us write an essay telling you who we think we are. You see us as you want to see us, in the simplest terms, in the most convenient definitions. But what we found out, is that each one of us is a brain, and an athlete, and a basketcase, a princess, and a criminal. Does that answer your question?

Sincerely yours, The Breakfast Club.

BENDER RULES!

bender: does barry manilow know that you raid his wardrobe?
vernon: Don't mess with the bull young man - you'll get the horns.

bender: hey, how come andrew gets to get up? if he gets up, we'll all get up, it'll be anarchy.

bender: being bad feels pretty good, huh?

brian: well, in physics we... we talk about physics, properties of physics.
bender: so it's sorta social, demented and sad, but social. right?

bender: brian, this is a very nutritious lunch. all the food groups are represented. Did your mom marry mr. rogers?

and my favorite...

bender: show dick some respect!

Strider - somehow I knew we'd be hearing your fav quote: "don't mess with the bull, you'll get the horns."
