WE ARE DUMB

"The relentless influx of emails, cellphone calls and instant messages received by modern workers can reduce their IQ by more than smoking marijuana, suggests UK research. Far from boosting productivity, the constant flow of messages and information can seriously reduce a person's ability to focus on tasks, the study of office workers found."

For more read this.

It's interesting that technology is actually making us more dumber than we already were.

I hate the fact that I became one of "those" people. I tried to hold out and not get a cell phone for a long time. I never felt that there was a large enough section of family and friends that NEEDED to get in touch with me at any moment.

I broke down and now have one...but I find myself using it less and less in the past year or so.

I tend to forget it a lot.

maybe that is because my mind is melting from the constant barrage of INFO.

What I find dumb is the morons who talk on their cellphones in public with complete disregard for the fact that the PUBLIC is forced to listen to their one-sided conversation. It's right up there on my top ten list of annoying things for sure.

The one I hate the most are the people who drive while talking on the phone... AAAAUUUUGGGHHHH! AAUUGGH! AAUUGGH! AAUUGGH! [Sam Kinison's scream - my emotion]

Especially when they're driving some dumb-ass SUV!

Okay, I'm calm :)
